My new album is released by ZOSHOUSE at Bandcamp – Listen or Own Today
With its stripped-down songs like Boleskine Angel, inspired by mystic Aleister Crowley’s experiences in Scotland, William Blake on Ghost of a Flea and the mythical Glastonbury countryside on So Many Stars, it is a return to the songwriting rooted in English folklore to be found on my band Gothick’s albums Royal Alchemy and Earthworx.
Track listing:
UNDER THE SUN
If there’s nothing new
Under the sun
Then look differently, askew
Come, come.If there is no hope
Of a self eternal
Then break all the laws
The laws are infernalIf she will not hear you
Learn to speak so loud
That the trees will shake
Crowds will break apartIf there is no chance
Listen to your heart
If there is no chance
Then bring your own dice hereThis game is not yet over
Have another beerIf there’s nothing new
Under the sun
Cherish what there is
Before it’s goneIf there is no hope
Of a self eternal
Then break down these laws
These laws are infernalWinds of ice will blow
Frosts all so hard
Death will come over the horizon
With his shield and swordIf there is no hope
Of a self eternal
Then make new laws
Become infernal
Become infernalIf there’s nothing new
Under the blue
Realise the fragile face
Of everything we doOf this world, of this planet beneath
Death’s black spaceIf there is no hope
Then break the laws
If there is no hope
Then make new lawsLyrics © 2022, Sean Woodward / ZOSHOUSE
