HOODOO WELLBEING ESOTERIC ART PRINT – SIGNED LIMITED EDITION

The Hoodoo Wellbeing series developed from the request of a collector for me to create prints that were an infusion of the Lucky Hoodoo energies of the Voudon Gnostic continuum and 21st Century holistic solutions to common conditions. Here art became at once a kind of therapy, an exploration and the anchoring of an object infused with mindful creation.

At first the concentration was upon familiar conditions encountered by many alternative health practitioners around the world today, of symbols which suggested healing and growth but gradually this opened out into other areas that complimented these.

THE MOTIFS: The house is surrounded by a vibrant bubble of protection, like a giant snowshaker, filled with sparkles that reflect the night sky above, littered with stars and a crescent moon.

THE MYSTERY : See the skulls that flank the path to the house ? These are not just some tattoo decoration on the hillside but represent the Gheudhe spirits, including those ancestors who are ever close to you and your dwelling. They stand side by side with the spirits of the place which may have been there for millennia, undisturbed by day to day life and unobserved by the likes of many.

WHY ESOTERIC ART MATTERS: Its easy to miss the mystery in the every day, the things we take for granted and the ways we’re used to travelling. Esoteric Art bridges the worlds we see and those we don’t. It creates a link between the power of our eyes and that of our imagination. It reminds every time we look at it, to look at the world afresh. When born of the practice of an artist-initiate of the mysteries, it becomes a totemic object imbued with the magick of its creator, magick which flickers in every moment that we open our eyes to new possibilities.
