Liber 415

Absolutely blown away by Sean Woodward‘s latest musical offering. In my experience, as someone who has released over 20 albums in his previous life as a professional musician, it’s very hard to write a good blurb for your music, but Sean nailed it, being a consummate author on top of a great musician” – Marco Visconti

On the darkest night of the year, an evocative new instrumental odyssey emerges. Liber Four One Five is an 11‑track album that reimagines Liber CDXV: The Paris Working. This was Aleister Crowley’s daring 1914 exploration of magick, eroticism, and creative transcendence through an atmospheric, cinematic lens.

.

Drawing from both ritual impressionism and modern sound design, the record fuses analog warmth with ethereal instrumentation. The haunting tones of the Armenian duduk drift through a sonic landscape of piano, bowed strings, and modular synths. Each composition conjures the surreal energy of Paris at the dawn of the Great War, the cafés, the candlelight, and the restless spirits seeking artistic and spiritual liberation.

.

Produced entirely in the spirit of experimentation, Liber Four One Five moves between dark ambience, minimalist motifs, and textured field recordings. Its temporal drift mirrors the ritual itself: cyclical, transformative, deeply human.
