New Jupiter Loop album

After extensive work writing lyrics, production and post-productrion, mastering etc, I am proud to announce the following release:

The Forgetting Tree

.

British trip-hop and electronica pioneers Jupiter Loop announce the long-awaited re-release of their seminal 1998 debut album, The Forgetting Tree. Originally unveiled by the cult-favourite Splushnay Records, this cornerstone of late 90s underground electronic music has been meticulously re-recorded, re-mixed, and re-mastered to honor its origins while embracing modern sonic clarity.

.

A resurrection 28 years in the making – Emerging from the misty English hills where folklore meets futuristic soundscapes, Jupiter Loop, known for their brooding downtempo grooves and interstellar electronica, revives The Forgetting Tree as a testament to enduring creativity. The expanded edition introduces the previously unreleased “Full Moon Party”, a pulsating closer that fuses ritualistic rhythms with cosmic euphoria, rounding out an already iconic collection.

.

Dual worlds of emotion and cosmos – The album splits seamlessly into two evocative realms. On one side, tracks like “Unrequited”, “Reflections of a Vampire”, and “Stokesay Blues” deliver haunting, downtempo meditations on love, loss, and nocturnal longing, song sperfect for late-night reverie in the vein of Massive Attack or Portishead.

.

Venturing further, “Groom Lake Transmissions”, “Nova Slipstream”, and “An Alliance of Stars” plunge into recurring science fiction themes, where glitchy transmissions, warp-speed synths, and ethereal alliances evoke dystopian dreams and interstellar voyages.

.

Legacy and availability – “The Forgetting Tree was ahead of its time,” reflects the band. “This reissue lets a new generation discover its magic, polished for today’s ears.” Available now on Bandcamp as high-res digital downloads and booklet, it arrives just in time for winter introspection, with streaming availability soon.

.

Jupiter Loop invites fans old and new to lose themselves in The Forgetting Tree, where memory fades, but the music endures.
