Erzulie, The Hoo Queen of Sirius published in ZHOUPHEUS
  • Zhoupheus_Cover_Preview

My illustration and commentary Erzulie, The Hoo Queen of Sirius has been published in the first issue of  Zhoupheus magazine.

The commentary features the opening to my story Sleeping Dragon and introduces ex New York antiquities detectives Harry Legba and Johnny Stone. Their Hong Kong world of art thefts and small time smuggling is interrupted by a series of deaths and a realisation that strange forces are at work. The story concludes in Hong Kong Harry.

I created the illustration of the Erzulie painting owned by Johnny Stone  using the Paper app on the iPad. It has a limited set of brushes and colours but a beautiful intuitive interface which lets the imagination run riot. Sometimes less really is better!
